Air test solutions provide air tightness testing for dwellings across the UK within 24 hours guaranteed. Also known as air pressure testing, it calculates the air tightness of a building, known as its ‘air permeability’ or ‘leakage rate'. Testing is important when designing the fabric of low energy buildings to ensure air does not leak through any gaps, holes or cracks. Excessive air leakage makes the building less energy efficient and more expensive to run

Under Part L of the UK Building Regulations, Air Permeability Testing is a mandatory requirement for newly built dwellings – and a necessity for passing final  SAP Calculations.

Commercial air pressure testing, also known as commercial air tightness testing of non-domestic buildings is a requirement of Approved Document L: Volume 2 of the current UK Building Regulations. It is intended to prevent air leakage in buildings which is the uncontrolled flow of air through gaps and cracks in a building fabric, also known as infiltration or draughts.

Most new build non-domestic buildings will now require a commercial air pressure test, as will large extensions to existing buildings.
